Join our volunteer programme and gain valuable experience in the creative, community and voluntary sectors. We believe volunteering enhances personal development through problem-solving, teamwork and community empowerment.

WWA has two programmes: (1) iWILL Volunteering Programme and the (2) iLEAD Youth Volunteer Training.

We are currently recruiting for the iWILL Volunteering Programme; details below.

 Why volunteer with us?

- Gain experience and self-development in youth work and community change.

- Contribute to our charitable mission and support the wider creative sector.

1. iWILL Volunteering Programme:

You can volunteer either as a Volunteer in Creative Influencers (ages 18-25) OR Work Experience (open to ages 18+). Information is below.

a) iWILL Creative Influencers:

- Suitable for ages 18-25.

- Up to 10 participants.

- Induction training over 2 months.

- Codesign your role.

- Contribute to research, consultation, and development.

- Gain a WheelWorks Creative Influencer certificate.

 Areas of work include:

- Data capture on youth needs and trends.

- Feedback on creative activities.

- Support new project design.

- Social action endeavours.

- Public relations and advocacy.

 iWILL Volunteer Support:

- Help recruit new iWILL volunteers.

- Support youth volunteer sessions.

- Participate in recruitment panels.

b) iWILL Work Experience:

- Suitable for ages 18+.

- Open to all, including retirees and career changers.

- Available to commit time to volunteering.

 

Areas of work may include:

- Internships.

- Research and consultation.

- Project and event support.

- Communications & marketing.

- Business and admin support.

2. iLEAD Youth Volunteer Training:

- For young people aged 16+.

- 10 available spots.

- Two sessions per month over 8 months.

- 3-6 months of training and support.

- Aimed at marginalized youth.

- Develop personal skills with WheelWorks Peer Leader certification.

- ASDAN accreditation provided.

- Become a Peer Leader and join iWILL Volunteer program after turning 18.

 As a Peer Leader, You Will:

- Support new iLEAD recruits.

- Lead and share experiences.

- Promote youth voices.

- Assist staff during training sessions.

- Provide feedback and data collection.

WHO CAN JOIN?

Anyone who is aged 16+ and lives in Northern Ireland can apply.
