CHANGEMAKER

ChangeMaker is a FREE Team Empowerment programme for youth and community workers.

Through blended creative and coaching practices, the programme will empower participants with self-expression, increase peer networks and promote cultural intelligence.  They will create a unique ChangeMaker resource towards achieving their collective vision of an inclusive and united community.

Key Benefits +

  • Increasing cultural intelligence in the widest form
  • Developing new creative resources for practical use
  • Peer learning and networking
  • Coaching and mentoring support
  • 100% free to participate

Why are we offering this? +

  • Youth and community workers are doing essential, frontline work. They dedicate their time to building development opportunities for others but often don’t get to participate fully in this important work themselves.
  • Creativity and self-expression play an important role in wellbeing. This is a chance to think and make ‘outside the box’ of normal work and to build peer networks in the area.
  • Participants will be fully supported by qualified professionals in exploring their own feelings, attitudes and beliefs towards Good Relations themes and will create resources to support their work.

What does it involve? +

  • You and your colleagues/team-members will discuss the major issues facing your community. Then, with the help of a coach/mentor, you will agree positive and practical steps and actions to address these together with WheelWorks.
  • You will also work alongside an artist to create a tangible resource from the key findings discovered along your journey.
  • The programme is designed to be flexible and adaptable to your specific needs and capacity.

Get Involved

We are currently seeking expressions of interest from community, youth and voluntary groups working in the areas of Antrim & Newtownabbey and Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon.

To kick things off, all we need is to have a conversation with you. This will allow us to better understand your specific needs and interests.

Intrigued? We’d love to tell you more.
