Good Relations Week 21_Phase 2_FB Post.jpg

Having recently marked our 25th anniversary WheelWorks we are looking forward to the next 25 years forging new connections — what might this future look like?

In this event we will be joined by a guest panel as part of an open conversation considering ‘what is good relations in the context of youth arts programming?’ And additionally, ‘how can art and digital technology facilitate innovative ways of connections across communities?’

Highlighting recent Wheelworks projects as a starting point, this event will offer space for audience members to contribute their thoughts with the aim of voicing multiple perspectives on how we might work together toward this brighter future.

 Speakers Include:

Joanne Branyan (Youth Worker: youth engagement practice)
Brian William Bryne (PhD Researcher: interests in participatory practice using immersive technologies)
Farah Chowdhury (CEO Wheelworks)
Katrina Sheena Smyth (Artist-PhD Researcher: interests in arts education)

Chaired by:

Meadhbh McIlgorm (Good Relations Project Coordinator, WheelWorks)

Wheelworks is a youth arts charity, since 1995, we have been working together with young people across Northern Ireland. We exist to forge new creative and inclusive spaces that empower and inspire young people and communities to express what matters to them.

We support social, educational, and cultural development through accessible programmes, providing a creative fusion of traditional and digital art forms, harnessing the arts for learning and change and giving young people a voice. Emphasis is placed on creativity, reachability, and innovation.
