WE have been CONNECTing WITH OUTREACH & DISENGAGED YOUTH ORGANISATIONS BASED IN ANTRIM AND NEWTOWNABBEY TO OFFER WHEELWORKS CHILLCART, A POP-UP MOBILE SOCIAL SPACE.

This project is designed to complement and support outreach and detached youth organisations by offering weekly use of the ChillCart - a mobile social space for engaging young people out on the streets of their communities. We provide a safe and dry space for young people to meet up and share a hot chocolate/tea & biscuits, listen to music, watch a movie, enjoy indoor or outdoor games and many more activities.

Depending on the interests of the young people, activities include sustained engagement in: 

  • Virtual Reality sessions 

  • Music production and DJing 

  • Film production 

  • Animation 

  • Visual Arts and Crafts 

  • Mindfulness sessions 

Our Future Focus project:

  • Offers young people something new and alternative 

  • Supports outreach and detached work with young people 

  • Is aimed at young people between the ages of 13 and 19
