Salary: £25,500 Pro Rota
Position: Part time, 15 hours per week  
Days of the week: 3 days between Monday to Friday and will include evening/some weekend work as per project requirements


Would you like to be part of our energetic, innovative team? WheelWorks youth arts charity seeks an experienced Youth Engagement Coordinator to manage, recruit participants, promote participation, co-ordinate, design and deliver a range of its issue based creative and digital arts projects and workshops across Northern Ireland for marginalised young people aged 10– 18 years.

This is an amazing opportunity for a highly motivated, self-starter, passionate individual who will share our vision to forge new creative and inclusive spaces that inspire and empower individuals to express what matters to them.

You will be responsible for the engagement of young people, session planning, co-ordination, monitoring, development and delivery of Wheelworks' newly secured projects. Playing a key role in designing, facilitating, and delivering workshops/activities with, and for, young people to increase active and meaningful participation with an issue based & cross community focus.

The post will require you to have extensive knowledge and experience in youth participation, a head for innovative thinking, being a safeguarding champion, as well as excellent group work and creative facilitation skills with young people.

We are particularly interested in hearing from individuals with one or more of the following skills and/or experience: youth work, outreach and community engagement, experience engaging with hard-to-reach and disadvantaged young people, project and team management and digital marketing.

Applicants must have excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, be detail-oriented, self-motivated, creative, social media proficient, confident and outgoing, with a can-do attitude.
