Community Transformation

Community Transformation or ‘Good Relations’ projects have been at the core of WheelWorks since our establishment in 1995. Through arts and digital activities, we cultivate a safe space for young people to engage in conversations around respect, diversity and their individual or collective experience. 

Our programmes are tailored to working collaboratively with partners in and across communities in Northern Ireland, usually over a timeframe of 6 weeks – 1 year.  Longer durational projects are integral for building trust and relationships with those involved. 

Often WheelWorks will develop and deliver these programmes in response to a particular social need or issue, past projects have responded to issues including good relations, bullying, intergenerational connections, diversity and personal & cultural identity.
